Everyday, 80-100 babies are born in the Dr. Jose Fabella Hospital. According to an article, it's had the reputation of being called "The Baby Factory" because 20% of all babies in Metro Manila are born there.

These photos were taken when we visited Dr. Jose Fabella Hospital last week. Most of the images in this slideshow were shot at the NICU (neonatal intensive care unit), where babies with special conditions are taken after they are delivered - some premature, some malnourished, some hooked up on machines for support. Sadly, some of them even need to share a bassinet with other newborns due to the sheer volume of infants being born everyday.
